North Central Local School Profile:
Welcome to Our Community and School!
The North Central Local School District is located in northern Williams County in Pioneer, Ohio. Pioneer is a small, close-knit community with an approximate population of 1500 people. A new building for the high school was recently constructed, opening in the 2016-17 school year, which finalized the preschool through grade12 campus facility update. The school district is a small rural district with an enrollment of approximately 600 students. We have recently updated our technology and infrastructure to be equipped to handle the age of technology. One to one computing is used for students in grades K-12 so each student has access to a laptop daily. The latest technology is also being used in the classrooms by our entire staff.
The school is a vital part of the village and a source of pride for the entire community. The North Central Local School District is proud to offer high quality academics, programs, facilities, and staff. We are committed to the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement. In large part, this is the result of the involvement of our parents and community members, the commitment of our staff members and the dedication of our student body.
North Central School District shall create and sustain learning experiences that strengthen skills and knowledge for lifelong learning.
Align for students.

State of Ohio Updates:
The State of Ohio, the Governor, the Ohio Department of Education, and other state-level defendants to a class action lawsuit have reached a proposed settlement and have requested our district's assistance in informing students and parents of the proposed settlement. To be clear, our district is not a defendant in this lawsuit and is not accused of any wrongdoing in this lawsuit. We are sharing this information as a courtesy to the Ohio Department of Education and our community. Click here for details.
